Mobile home removal is a specific job with specific problems. The structure is light but the materials are mixed, and disposal is where the cost sits.
Two ways it goes
Demolish in place
Structure broken down on site, sorted, and hauled. Usual choice for older units that will not survive a move and have no resale value.
Move it
If the unit is newer and structurally sound, relocating may make more sense than demolishing. That is a licensed house-mover's job, not a demolition contractor's, and we will tell you when a unit looks worth the call.
What has to go
- The structure itself
- Steel frame and axles
- Skirting, steps and decks
- Tie-downs and anchors
- The pad or piers, if you want the site clean
- Septic connection, capped or removed
Older units
Homes built before the mid-seventies can contain asbestos in flooring and insulation, and the pre-1976 stock predates the federal HUD construction standard entirely. Age matters here more than on a stick-built house.
Landlords and park owners
Abandoned units on rented lots are a recurring problem in this county. There is usually a legal process to follow before removal — abandoned-property procedure, notice periods, sometimes a court order. Get that right first. We can only remove what you have the authority to remove.
